Emerging Voices Panel - Call for Proposals

Please apply to present on the emerging voices panel at the 5th annual Canadian food law and policy conference. More information about the conference can be found on our overview page.
Who Can Submit
The student panel is open to any student currently enrolled in a JD, BCL or equivalent degree program or a LLM degree program, and anyone who graduated from a JD, BCL or equivalent program in 2019 or later.
What to Submit
Interested candidates must submit a paper proposal (title, abstract and keywords) on a topic that addresses any area of food law and policy. There is no requirement for papers to address the conference theme of territorial food systems. Submissions may be in French or English. A completed paper is not needed at the application stage, but you must commit to submit a completed paper by the date specified below if you are selected.
Important Dates
March 26, 2021 – Deadline for submissions - EXTENDED to April 5, 2021
April 12, 2021 – Announcement of selection of panelists
April 30, 2021 – Deadline for submissions of completed papers
May 14, 2021 – Presentation of papers at the conference
May 15, 2021 – Announcement of winner of Gowlings WLG – Joel Taller Prize for Emerging Voices in Food Law
